Biography

Karen joined the firm in 2002 and was elected a Member in 2019. She concentrates her practice in advising individuals in the areas of estate gift and generation skipping transfer tax planning and compliance as well as probate and estate administration. Karen also works with our litigation department on probate related cases.

Before joining Tarlow, Breed, Hart & Rodgers, Karen was an Associate with the firm of Kirkpatrick & Lockhart LLP (now K&L Gates) in its Pittsburgh and Boston offices practicing in their Private Clients, Trusts and Estates Group. Prior to attending law school, Karen worked as a private accountant in Boston for several years.

Additional Information
  • Karen is the treasurer of the Scituate Animal Shelter where she also volunteers as an adoption counselor and animal caregiver.
  • She resides in Scituate with her husband, two adopted shelter dogs, and four shelter cats.
