“How Entrepreneurship Keeps Family Business Competitive in a Changing Business Environment” program a success
Edward D. Tarlow, a partner at Tarlow, Breed, Hart & Rodgers, P.C. (a founding sponsor of the Family Business Association), was delighted at the turnout last night for the Family Business Association program and panel discussion titled “How Entrepreneurship Keeps Family Business Competitive in a Changing Business Environment.”  The event, held at the Gloucester House Restaurant in Gloucester, was co-hosted by BankGloucester and the Family Business Association (FBA), a non-profit organization that honors and promotes family-owned businesses.  The panel presentation included Jason Maxwell, President of MassPay, Inc. as moderator and panelists Brian Kelly, President of Kelly Automotive Group, Michael Trigilio, President of Associated Home Care, Doug Woodman, President of Woodmans, Inc., and Maureen Woodman, Director of Sales of Woodmans, Inc.

The distinguished panelists, all owners of competitive businesses, discussed how their entrepreneurial traits have allowed their businesses to prosper in changing economic environments and how they have worked to strengthen local economies.  Many of the panelists explained how their companies developed new products and services, stressed the importance of being creative and innovative to take advantage of new market opportunities, and emphasized the need to adapt and evolve in response to changing business climates.

Attorney Edward Tarlow said the program encapsulated what TBHR does on a daily basis with business owners and entrepreneurs.  He added, “It is a pleasure to help educate other businesses through our firm’s sponsorship of the FBA.  Panel discussions like this one are just part of what makes the FBA a great organization.”

TBHR is proud to be a founding sponsor of the Family Business Association, as TBHR and the FBA are committed to advising and helping to grow family-owned businesses in Massachusetts and New England.
